Our Story

Two Legacies. One Mission.

CM2 Supply was formed in 2025 through the merger of Central McGowan and Minneapolis Oxygen, two family-owned businesses with deep roots in the industrial gas and welding supply industry. Together, these legacy companies bring decades of technical experience and a shared commitment to safety, service, and teamwork.

Our history traces back to 1946 with Minneapolis Oxygen and to 1947 with Central Welding. In 1965, Central Welding merged with McGowan Welding to form Central McGowan, setting the foundation for long-term growth built on customer relationships and investment in people.

Today, CM2 Supply serves many industries across the Midwest, including manufacturing, construction, energy, healthcare, universities, government, food and beverage, and more. We provide industrial, specialty, and medical gases, bulk tank solutions, welding and automation systems, PPE, consumables, dry ice, and specialty services including CM2 BevCarb and CM2 Automation.

Joe Francis

CEO & 3rd Gen. Owner — Central McGowan

Leo Henkemeyer's grandson. Joined in 2005, became CEO in 2015. Joe has led Central McGowan through its most ambitious growth era and now co-leads CM2 with a people-first philosophy.

Kevin Falconer

President — Minneapolis Oxygen

Sid Falconer's grandson and 3rd-generation MO2 leader. Became President in 2020, reinventing MO2 with EOS Traction and formal core values — culminating in the 2025 merger.

Jason Kirby

President & COO

Joined in 2024 with deep operational and strategic expertise. Jason drives CM2's Gases and Supplies division with a focus on service excellence and innovation.

Chris Babich

VP Finance & CFO

Joined in 2019 with a lifelong career in manufacturing. Chris guides CM2's expansion with financial discipline and strong IT and operational oversight.

Pete Rogers

VP, CM2 Automation

18+ years of FANUC robotic integration expertise. Pete leads all automation sales, service, controls, fabrication, and custom cell integration.

Mike Muenzer

VP Sales & Marketing

20+ years of industrial sales leadership. Mike drives Distribution Sales strategy, branch operations, and the deep customer relationships at the heart of this business.
